Filter change guidelines

To keep your Fohen product performing at its best and to ensure your warranty remains intact, please follow these essential guidelines:

Regular filter changes

  • Every 6 Months: Change your filters every 6 months to maintain optimal performance and water quality.
  • For Hard Water Areas: If you’re in a hard water area, replace your filters every 3 months to prevent scale buildup and protect your system.

Know your water type

Check Water Hardness: Determine if your area has hard water by consulting your local water authority or using a home test kit. Adjust your filter replacement schedule accordingly.

So far so good

We got a plumber to replace our tap to the hot tap, so far so good. It works well only moan is on the normal tap you can tell what is hot and cold. apart from that love it

Great for the price but watch those washers!

The tap is very high quality and functions well so far. I can see there could be a scalding risk if the swan neck is turned towards the boiling tap side so not fool proof. The boiler kicks in about once an hour for a few secs so a bit noisy.
Installation was problematic as there are tiny rubber washers for the tails into the tap which are not in a plastic bag just loose in the tap box. They're not mentioned in the instructions either so make sure you look for them otherwise the tails will leak slightly.

Brilliant tap

We fitted a new kitchen last year but decided to keep the old tap but it looked so dated so decided on a boiling water tap, after reading many reviews and trying to get a gun metal tap we decided on the Verana 3 in 1 tap for three reasons, it went with our kitchen, it had good reviews and the price was right.
I fitted it myself and yes like most taps it was fiddly but not difficult to do.

Great product

Tap is excellent and working very well so far. Only about 10 days in to be fair but loving it. Every delivery should come however with the 70mm nipple. The standard one will not fit on any usable worktop. Apart from that definitely worth the purchase!

Leaks / Faulty Tap - Verana Sorted immediately

Unluckily, we received a faulty tap, Verana were happy to arrange for a replacement to be sent to us next day.
Very happy with the service from them and that's why I've given 4* and also as I expect these taps usually to be very reliable/good quality.

What is the difference between a 2-in-1, 3-in-1, 4-in-1 and 5-in-1 tap?

A 2-in-1 kitchen tap is a standard mixer that delivers mains hot water and mains cold water.

A 3-in-1 instant boiling water tap delivers mains hot, mains cold, and instant filtered boiling water.

A 4-in-1 instant boiling water tap delivers mains hot, mains cold, instant filtered boiling water, plus filtered cold (or filtered chilled on some models) drinking water.

A 5-in-1 instant boiling water tap delivers mains hot, mains cold, instant filtered boiling water, filtered cold, and chilled filtered water.
Are boiling water taps expensive to run?

We have designed our boiling water taps to be extremely energy-efficient, costing less than 10p a day to run. The greatest saving, however, is time. With a boiling water tap, you'll no longer have to wait for the kettle to boil or juggle multiple kettles of water.

Kettles cost a few pence per boil, which means they may cost more to run if they're used multiple times a day.
Are instant boiling water taps safe?

Yes, our taps are designed with safety in mind. The spring-loaded mechanism prevents little ones from accessing boiling water, while also switching the boiling water function off when you move away from the sink. What's more, at 98°C, the near-boiling water is dispensed in a steady stream without spluttering.

Our taps are safer than kettles for a few reasons:

  1. They can't be moved around the room, unlike a kettle
  2. They don't become hot to the touch, unlike a kettle
  3. They have a spring-loaded mechanism to prevent children from accessing boiling water
