Filter change guidelines

To keep your Hanström product performing at its best and to ensure your warranty remains intact, please follow these essential guidelines:

Regular filter changes

  • Every 6 Months: Change your filters every 6 months to maintain optimal performance and water quality.
  • For Hard Water Areas: If you’re in a hard water area, replace your filters every 3 months to prevent scale buildup and protect your system.

Know your water type

Check Water Hardness: Determine if your area has hard water by consulting your local water authority or using a home test kit. Adjust your filter replacement schedule accordingly.

Not had it fitted yet so can’t comment on the use, great looking tap, lovely colour but they H and C writing is half worn away already on delivery

Nice looking tap but firstly

Nice looking tap but firstly sent me wrong colour, then after being fitted had a problem with the boiler being faulty.
I had to send a video to them for proof, then when it arrived I had to pay someone to come out and change it over for me.
However the filtered water is really nice.
With the boiling water you have to push the knob down and hold it the whole time which hurts my hand.
So for this reason I would not recommend buying one.

Hanstrom boiling water tap

Plumber found it very difficult to fit and the body of the tap twists when the tap is moved as it rotates - when Verana were called they suggested that he’d overtightened the tap to the worktop and sent out replacement parts that day - they arrived next day, so great service from them. The boiler makes a lot of noise when it is getting back up to temperature, which is does regularly - not sure this is as economic as anticipated. The boiler unit isn’t very well insulated which may account for the continual reheating. And when using the boiling tap the spring loaded tap doesn’t return to “off” on its own; it has to be manually turned off or it continues to pour boiling hot water (this maybe because it’s new and a bit stiff). A little disappointed.

What is the difference between a 2-in-1, 3-in-1, 4-in-1 and 5-in-1 tap?

A 2-in-1 kitchen tap is a standard mixer that delivers mains hot water and mains cold water.

A 3-in-1 instant boiling water tap delivers mains hot, mains cold, and instant filtered boiling water.

A 4-in-1 instant boiling water tap delivers mains hot, mains cold, instant filtered boiling water, plus filtered cold (or filtered chilled on some models) drinking water.

A 5-in-1 instant boiling water tap delivers mains hot, mains cold, instant filtered boiling water, filtered cold, and chilled filtered water.
Are boiling water taps expensive to run?

We have designed our boiling water taps to be extremely energy-efficient, costing less than 10p a day to run. The greatest saving, however, is time. With a boiling water tap, you'll no longer have to wait for the kettle to boil or juggle multiple kettles of water.

Kettles cost a few pence per boil, which means they may cost more to run if they're used multiple times a day.
Are instant boiling water taps safe?

Yes, our taps are designed with safety in mind. The spring-loaded mechanism prevents little ones from accessing boiling water, while also switching the boiling water function off when you move away from the sink. What's more, at 98°C, the near-boiling water is dispensed in a steady stream without spluttering.

Our taps are safer than kettles for a few reasons:

  1. They can't be moved around the room, unlike a kettle
  2. They don't become hot to the touch, unlike a kettle
  3. They have a spring-loaded mechanism to prevent children from accessing boiling water
